Jason R. Baker is a trial attorney specializing in civil litigation and in advising small businesses. Jason particularly enjoys working on complex, technical matters involving construction, engineering, finance, and transportation. Jason takes an individualized approach to each matter through development of creative, bespoke litigation strategy. Jason has a vast breadth of litigation experience to draw from, which has ranged from criminal prosecution and defense to administrative law and complex business litigation. Jason joined Rodenhouse Law Group in January 2017. Jason earned his bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University, but not before “taking a semester off” to join the United States Marine Corps in response to the attacks of September 11, 2001. In 2003, Jason deployed to serve a tour of duty in the Iraq war as an infantry machine gunner. Following his deployment, Jason returned to Michigan State University and graduated in 2005. Jason continued his service in the Marine Corps Reserve, earning the rank of sergeant, and was honorably discharged in 2008. Jason earned his Juris Doctorate degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2008. In law school, Jason was on the dean’s list, he served as a scholarly writing teaching assistant, and as a managing assistant editor on the law review. Jason is a lifelong resident of the Grand Rapids area, and currently lives with his wife in Rockford, Michigan. When he’s not practicing law, Jason enjoys exploring the country’s back roads and small towns on his motorcycle.
